Malaysia allows Transits with PMSC

Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) has announced to allow the use of armed guards on a case by case decision through Malaysian waters.

The guards could be placed out of the ranks of the MMEA from its Special Task and Rescue (STAR) unit, but by the current state the MMEA did not disclose when the new policy would be in force, nor the costs for such possible deployment.
