Since 2008 the MARITIME SECURITY DIVISION of our company, which focuses exclusively on maritime security issues related to anti-piracy, counter-piracy and counter-terrorism has a proven track record about uncounted successfull accomplished armed maritime security and armed vessel protection operations to mitigate risks and secure the transit of our clients merchant vessels and yachts around the globe.

In addition, we also provide our spezialized services for the areas of "Port Security" (ISPS Code) and "Maritime Force Protection", which include, among other things, the protection of floating LNG terminals, so-called FSRUs (Floating Storage and Regasification Units). which, due to their sensitivity as critical maritime infrastructure, require special attention to security from the outside, especially from the water side. Within the Maritime Security Division and there the "M.R.U. Maritime Response Unit", i.b.s.® has had its own "S.B.G. Special Boat Group" since 2023. These operators, who specialize in the management and operation of RIBs (rigid inflatable boats), have all the officially required licenses as well as tactical and advanced trainings.

With these specialists, their highly qualified training and further education, as well as in combination with the equiment used, such as ZODIAC Rib´s, i.b.s.® can call itself the only provider in the German security industry and maritime security that has its own specialized boat group for waterside protection of general and critical infrastructure, scalable up to armed waterside protection operations using additional state-of-the-art sensor technology, such as e.g. ROVs.

All our missions as a valuable service were arranged via our Repräsentative offices in USA/Florida (Miami), the Sultanate of Oman (Muscat, Salalah, Sohar and Duqm), the Rep. of Singapore (Singapore), within Lithuania (Vilnius) as well our head offices and branches in Germany (Sittensen and Hamburg).

In addition i.b.s.® is DNV ISO 9001:2015 certified for e.g. "Armed Maritime Security Services" and we are also approved through SHELL GLOBAL as a commercial security service provider for the Oil & Gas Industry. Additionally to match the requirements of our clients on a next higher level especially in the Oil, Gas, Petroleum and Energy Industry in 2019 we have implemented an IMS including the ISO standards 48001 and 14001.

We are a bearer of the official certificate by the BAFA German Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA) as one (1) of only three (3) German maritime security provider world wide but our company is the only (!) German armed security provider within the maritime security industry and operational experiences since the year 2005, certified by the BAFA in collaboration with the German Cost Guard for commercial vessel, cruise vessel and yachts carrying the German flag who is still offering the service of armed maritime security.

Not limited to this i.b.s.® hold the official approval from several relevant flag and coastal states e.g. Marshal Islands, Isle of Men, Djibouti, Maldives, Liberia, Sri Lanka and Oman to carry out professional armed maritime security services.
