For over twenty (20) years, our company has been providing specialized protection for owners and charter companies of commercial merchant vessels and yachts through the services of "Armed Maritime Security" and "Armed Transport Security Escort." Enhanced Security Services

In addition, we deploy our personnel in the areas of Port Security (ISPS Code) and Maritime Force Protection. This includes, in particular, the protection of floating LNG terminals, known as FSRUs (Floating Storage and Regasification Units). Due to their sensitivity as critical maritime infrastructure, these facilities require special protection, especially from the waterside, as demonstrated by recent security-related incidents in Germany. The same applies to nuclear facilities and other critical infrastructure and industrial companies located along waterways.

Establishment of the Maritime Security Division

To ensure the professional execution of these demanding services, our company established the Maritime Security Division in 2005. This department is exclusively focused on anti-piracy, counter-terrorism, and the protection of critical maritime infrastructure, as well as the professional protection of ships and yachts at sea.

Specialized Unit: M.R.U. & S.B.G.

As part of the Maritime Security Division, i.b.s.® has been operating the Maritime Response Unit (M.R.U.) since 2023, which includes the highly specialized Special Boat Group (S.B.G.). This elite unit comprises experienced, extensively trained operators who are specifically qualified for the operation and control of High-Speed-RHIBs (Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats). With officially recognized licenses, advanced tactical training, and the use of state-of-the-art sensor technology, the protection of the assets entrusted to us is ensured with maximum efficiency, precision, and situational adaptation. The Special Boat Group is unique in its ability to respond flexibly and with the highest professionalism to various threat scenarios.
