With date of the 20th of April 2015 i.b.s. ® has been granted the permission from the Belgian Ministry of Interior to carry out armed maritime security services onboard Belgian flagged vessel against organized crime at sea very well known as piracy in the High Risk Area of the Indian Ocean.

Therefor our company is currently the first German private security provider which has been completely approved under the current legislation (Royal Decree of 2nd September 2013) in Belgium and is now permitted to carry out armed on-board maritime security services to the Belgian maritime industry as a „maritieme veiligheidsonderneming / enterprise de sécurité maritime“ for a period of two (2) years.
