Refugee Crisis - HNaA Report Leaked

The Austrian newspaper „Kronenzeitung“ recently claimed to have access to a confidential report of the Austrian Military Intelligence Service (HNaA), which utters massive concerns about a new wave of refugees of African origin from the Libyan coast in autumn this year

The published extracts seem to point out, that the exhausted Italian capacities for refugees will lead to a massive shift of refugees to Austria, as Germany is the preferred destination also for migrants from the African continent due to it’s open-border-policy in 2015.

The report concluded, that if scenario is becoming real, Austria would become again a buffer state for illegal migration in Central Europe, a situation which the Austrian state cannot handle according to the newspaper. Such a fail would have massive impact on the political stability and security of central Europe.

As it is unclear if such scenario is likely to happen, the numbers of rescued refugees within the last week seem to prove the conclusion of the Austrian newspaper: According to the recent press release EU naval vessels rescued more than 7000 refugees in the mediterranean at one day solely.
