Saudi Arabia - Iran Conflict

The recent tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran, which seemed to be mainly based shares on the international oil market, is not likely to be ended in the near future. This conflict, which is also a reason for the low oil prices on the global energy market, may have effect on the maritime industry, as the Strait of Hormuz is the crucial choke point for maritime transported oil.

As Iran is focused its naval power projection in the Straits of Hormuz the maritime industry might be effected indirectly or directly by any escalation of the ongoing conflict by Saudi Arabia and Iran.
