i.b.s.® own S.B.G. executes SAR mission!

i.b.s. Special Boat Group (S.B.G.) involved in a Search and Rescue Ops (SAR) at the Baltic Sea!

Yesterday evening our SMRP Security Multi Role Platform „IMAF ONE“ for three (3) hours was part of a SAR group led by the German Coast Guard (Bundespolizei SEE) combined with units of the German Police SEA (Wasserschutzpolizei) and Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Rettung Schiffbrüchiger (DGzRS) and included also a German SAR helicopter NH90 to find a possible MOB of a sailing boat found empty at open sea.

After the three (3) hours our group of smaller vessels and boats was dismissed due to sunset and therefore upcoming darkness but the search was carried out until night time by other units of the Coast Guard and the DGzRS.

For our „S.B.G.“ team it was not just a honor to be part of this SAR group but much more a matter of course to help to find a in sea possible drifting human which is waiting to be found and rescued, as we all operating on waters and some day may be cold find ourself in the same situation.

A big thank you is going to our „S.B.G.“ team for their no hesitation to jump into this operation immediately as they received the distress call via seal radio channel VHF 16 to assist as best as possible.
